I'm curious about what the service "Ati External Event Utility" might be doing under Vista. Things like overclocking and the display driver recovery does fine without it, so it must be something else. Hotkeys like in the past maybe, but I don't use that. I've read that the "powerplay" power management feature is handled by CCC. What else?

last time i toyed with it, it effected the way the auto clocking of the cards worked when 3D apps were ran as well as specific driver settings... i just don't remove those kinda services... ever
