Vista and 7.4 CCC issue

I have seen this issue posted elsewhere but I didnt know I was having it to read more anyway cant finda ny solutions for this right now maybe u folks can help me, basically i got vista 32bit with a radeon x850xt and the 7.4 drivers with ccc package, now the drivers work fine but I cant force any setting through CCC or even ati tray tools just does nothing in game, vysnc, aa, af etc... Only forcing them through the game options makes it work any ideas on the fix for this and why its happening?

what games are you trying?

and using the CCC's preview, does it appear to have an effect in the preview?

Yea the picture changes in the CCC but not in games, ive tried a few fearcombat, counter-strike source, rappelz doesnt apply any of the settings to the games. Also dont know if this helps but the overdrive option is disabled should be enabled like in XP, atitool cant read card temps and when my drivers installed they installed as X850 Series and it usually said X850XT but i doubt that makes any difference since I get good fps in games.

I tried everything still cant fix it, reinstalled them a few times, weird huh! gonna reinstall vista I learned a lot of things i did wrong now so hopefully i log in from admin account from the start and everything goes well.

Fresh format did nothing else exept install the video drivers properly still CCC or any other app has no effect on the settings, damn what could be wrong??

i have the same gpu and i installed the same drivers; but games do not recognize i have drivers installed at all. how did you get it work?

The normal way I uninstalled the default windows ones cleaned all files and reg settings and installed ati's newest vista drivers.

Can i please get a list of the games your trying to play with the settings?

For example, i can't get FSAA to work at all in Serious Sam 2 when HDR is enabled. (even though it should work)

Issue resolved with the 7.5 cats.
