Drivers Crash During Overclocking - Vista x64

I understand that we have an overclocking/modding section and also a Vista section but this is mostly about drivers so I figure I'd put it here.

When I was running the 32-bit version of XP I had no problem with my old overclock. When I switched to 64-bit Vista it was no longer stable causing the driver to crash and recover. It doesn't matter what version I use. It started with the 180 series and has stayed right up to the current drivers.

Any thoughts on why this is happening or how I can get around this?

I've had to back down my overclock quite a bit and while the real world impact is likely small it's one of those things that you know just isn't right.

Thanks!
