Pissed

I installed these and to my disappointment, they're very buggy. Needless to say, I reinstalled the 175.19 drivers. I fired up COD4 and the display driver stopped responding twice and cause my whole system to freeze. One thing I can say for ATI, when I was using an ATI X1950Pro in my other syste, I NEVER had issues with drivers like I have with the NVidia. It's pathetic.

i wonder if the "code10" issue is going to be persistent with the 7900GT cards like is with the 175.19 & 175.16 drivers.

103MB, wow!

oh, and they are up for winXP and winXP x64 as well.

Man, i LOVE these drivers. Better FPS in COD4 and in COH! Best 64bit drivers i have used in a long time.

Id like to say these are good drivers.these work well with most games i have.

After installing these drivers Half-Life 2 / COD United Offensive and a few other games via steam crashes and stops working.Never have before installing this driver on Vista Home Premium 64 bit on a 9600GT card.

Blackscreen graphical lockups after installing these drivers. Tried to revert to 175.19, problems continued. BEWARE: These drivers may break your system and force a Windows reinstall to correct!

perhaps this is a D3D problem with the card?

if problems arose only after installing newer drivers and reverting to the previous set still didn't reolve the problem, then it's probably due to reminiscant drivers of the 178.13s. try using drivercleaner.net to remove any reminiscant drivers before formatting your machine.

if issues continue and you have reformatted your machine already, then it's likely going to be a hardware issue at that point as a reformat would have resolved any software related problems.

As it stands to date. They are the only games i have played via steam. When i get some time i will be trying out some of the older games i have to see if they have the same problem.

Crysis & this includes warhead (DVD) and Quake 3 Arena (Via Steam) are ok.

SOF 2 also crashes,But thats been the same since i switched to 64bit OS regardless to what driver i use.

then maybe it's a steam issue with these newer drivers then?

seems odd that this started to happen to you only after these drivers were installed.
