Finally installed Windows 7

No drama, no problems and only a few updates to go from Vista 64 bit to W7 64 bit, I wonder what all the chatter was about. I rather like it, but it isnt Snowleopard. Going to do my lappy as well.

re: Finally installed Windows 7

Shouldn't the title be "Finally installed Windows 7"?

All members can only edit the forum heading within ten minuites (at least when i last known\0 after that the only heading that is altered is within the forum...

The heading thats shows on the front page still show finally installed windows Vista ..

Only mods or admin can correct them... in this case i have done so for you..

one thing I noticed was the GUI, its pretty clean and less cluttered however the boot times were phenomenal, and of course I threw caution to the wind and loaded it on my fathers machine, an older Dell and it is running just peachy!!

Speak for yourself 'youngin'

I've been using 7 since the first public beta.

Not only that, but I've used 'new tech' since the wheel was invented

As a matter of fact...it was my 1st cousin Umgeekda (I beta tested it for him). Unfortunately, back then there weren't any roads, so it never really took off, and due to lack of interest, that tech was forgotton, only to re-appear some 2000 years later, somewhere in the middle east.

Re: Finally installed Windows 7

I don't want to start a new thread, so I'll share my experiece here. I've been using W7 for two days now and I can say I like the new taskbar, except that I haven't found any significant change from Vista. The only problem was the driver for my TV card (Leadtek DTV2000H) which was blocked for affecting stability, but a few minutes of googling fixed that.
