Upgrading from Beta to RC

I have the 7048 Beta installed on my media pc and went to try to upgrade it to the RC available on MS's website. I did the cversion change, but it will not let me do the upgrade workaround. The screen pops up having "install now", but when I click it, nothing happens, the screen either stays or blinks as if popping up the same screen. This is 64 bit by the way. Has anyone encountered this or have any suggestions. I may end up just doing a clean install, but would prefer to just upgrade.

EDIT: Found out I just had to move the folder where I extracted the files to a different location (had them on desktop, moved them to C:\)
