cat 8.3 vista x64 problem

cat 8.3 vista x64 problem
hi ive just started using vista x64 seeing a small problem thats kinda annoying
lets say i hit ctrl alt del to get to the task menu the screen flashes red
just before the menu pops up
get the same from warnings from UAC and other tabs that don't fade in and out
is there anything i can do to solve this and the flashing red is really annoying ?
btw im using an ati 2600hd xt

I didn't notice exactly that but experienced a few other 2D graphics problems before I went back to 8.2. Catalyst 8.4 should be out in a week or two if you can live with it.

i can live with it but anyway i have tried the 8.2 version
and i still get the same problem

still have the problem with the 8.4 release anyone other than me having this problem ?
my x64 sp1 has been clean installed on 2 machines both have the same problem soon as i install ati drivers
