HELP! Drivers for ATI X1700 SE ON VISTA

Hello

I have a stationary computer running Vista 32-bit. I noticed that Dell havent released any drivers for my graphic card, ATI X1700 SE, since 2006 so I am looking for a way to upgrade the drivers myself. Do anybody have a good guide to do this for my X1700 SE? Im not that good with computers but Im not that bad either.

If you look under the properties of the driver you're now running, you can see that the chipset is actually X1650. This means that you can download the latest X1650 drivers and Catalyst software from the atiamd.com website and install them.

I did this and the driver installed no problem, but the max resolution dropped and I had a hard time getting the Catalyst software to initiate. After a few roll-backs to the old driver and uninstalls of Catalyst, I succeeded in getting both to install and work no problem and was able to re-adjust the max resolution through Catalyst.

Good luck.
