Fluid Soundfont?

I tried loading the great FLUID Soundfont (143mb) on my SBLIVE using the KX drivers but it gets an error while loading..It worked fine with the Creative drivers. Is it because of some limitation or something? I really like these drivers but I also want to use that sound font

Yep, windows (on some machines) gives to driver too few memory to load soundfonts to. You have to tweak windows registry a bit: see our FAQ(www.kxproject.com/faq.php)... kinda increase "NonPagedPoolSize" value

I have 256mb ram. Tried setting NonPagedPoolsize to 128000 and 256000 but still get error loading...

You can load it using HarveyFong's(scroll down a bit or search for Harvey Fong) suggestion - here or here

Both of those workarounds didnt work. I think it has something to do with the way KX drivers handle soundfont memory? With creative drivers I could load this 143mb soundfont fine without tweaking anything...Anyone tried this soundfont with KX?

i never used fluid soundfont with kX drivers so far cos i knoe there will be a memory limitation on the Sb Live card somewhere, just like a similar situation with Creative drivers. Yes Fluid is able to load effortlessly on creative soundfont manager, but i feel not all its sounds from the bank is used properly as u guys knoe sometimes missing instruments can be heard after some time of cpu usage... correct me if i'm wrong anyone, i just wanted to say my bit. =)

I can't load it either... tried tweaking everything, all solutions...
