Vienna and kX MIDI implementation

Hi.
Excuse me, but my english is not good.
In Vienna Sound Font Studio was ability to modify LFO parameters in Modulator Properties (in Global Zone
for example). I used for example this assignment: Mod Wheel (cc1) --- "Modulation LFO to Volume"
(Tremolo) instead of "Vibrato LFO Pitch " (Vibrato) now. After aplication of new kX-MIDI implementation
is this possibility invalid. Why? I need this feature, please.
I try to use AWE NRPNs in Cakewalk, but "LFO1 to Volume" not work as continuos function, but it works as
constant effect without reference to the value.
I need this setting. Is possible this to solve anyway ?
Likewise: cc 021 - Enhance 1
cc 022 - Enhance 2
cc 023 - Enhance 3
cc 024 - Enhance 4
I used these controllers on various purposes. Are these controllers the same as controllers
16 - General Purpose 1 [10k2 SendE Amount]
17 - General Purpose 2 [10k2 SendF Amount]
18 - General Purpose 3 [10k2 SendG Amount]
19 - General Purpose 4 [10k2 SendH Amount]
How I assign to these controllers some function, for example Freq.LFO1 ?
Is possibility of 'Legacy mode' setting, as a in Vienna Sound Font Studio 2.3 or 2.4 ?
Or is possibility of custom MIDI implementation ?
Note: I have sound card SB Live! 5.1, it has EMU 10k1 chip.

Thanks.

CC# 16-19 are for 10K2 cards only... so they will mean nothing for you.

Also, Vienna 2.4 is supporting SF2.1 features (for X-FI support), kX only supports SF 2.01 features - and those modulator routing is SF 2.1 IIRC... so, you maybe able to adjust them in vienna, but kX wont use them (SF was designed with 'backwards compatibility' in mind)

as far as I know, to have the mod wheel to cause a varying volume, as opposed to the default of applying to pitch is not possible. You can do it manually by sending a series of CC7 in the waveform you desire. Sonar had ability to DRAW waveforms in the CC editor of the piano roll editor easily (was dropped tho).

You could also..
Open the kX Router - Save kX router settings...
Then Assign a kX Synth MIDI channel to use say FXB 11/12 for SEND A/B FXBuss - and connect Max M's Tremolo DSP plugin (*I think* its packaged with his UFX plugin pack - search the kX DSP forum - stickied at the top) to FXBuss 11/12... I think you'll like his tremolo effect - as it includes panning too

Then assign an un-used CC in kX Automation to control what ever you want (like depth) - and send that CC to kX CONTROL midi port.

Plugins in Uniform ("UFX")

but, they are no longer 'free'.

Guys, i have a news for you.

From now an on, the UFX package is not anymore free of charge - it becomes "commercial". If you've downloaded and used it before 4th November of 2007 - you're still free to use it. But right form today and further, the UFX's author asks you to donate some amount of money you feel affordable for you to "Podari Zhizn'!" relief fund.
It's a fund to help the children suffering from oncological and hematologic sickness.
The requisites you need are: Фонд Подари жизнь! Реквизиты

If you do not want to help these particular Russian children or you're feeling you don't like Russia whatever it goes - it's OK - we don't want to force you - it's equal if you just do the same for the children of your own country. Please - do so.
Max promises you - these kids will gift to our next generation thousands of new UFXs - just if they do not die.

Thank You,

Max Mikhailov

Programs which seem to be able to translate controllers (I haven't used them):
Midi Fish - a realtime MIDI data translator
MIDIOX

Cakewalk can also translate.... no extra software needed in the OP's case.

Just to make clear of things...

Sound Font related CC's are sent to that kX Synth midi port....
kX Control port is for kX automations ONLY and have NO affect on kX Synths directly (unless a kx Automated plugin is in line with any fX Buss' related to kX synths - Default for SBLives; FXB 2/3(main) & 14(reverb send) & 15(Chorus Send)

edit... the above should instead read:
Quote:
Default for SBLives; FXB 2/3(main) & 13(reverb send) & 14(Chorus Send)
