me again.sorry

had to leave pc alone for a while..............how do i export songs as midi files from cubase vst so i can import them into cubase sx is the new question?

i tried to do it and only managed to get one part of one track from a song..........obviously i need the whole song consisting of all tracks(dont need audio) and then for the song to appear in sx with all tracks/parts in the right places

make sure All (and only) midi tracks are selected - and selection is complete from start to finish - I imagine it exports what ever is selected..??

Isn't there an Import option in SX (in the File menu IIRC) that lets you import old Cubase .all songs directly? I don't think there's any need to export the songs to MIDI first. I've only tried this once a long time ago but as far as I can recall it worked fine, all tracks and were imported without problem. All you may have to do is re-route the outputs of the tracks.
