Latency using B4 with APS

Using this pc as a software synth only - (I'm using a Logic sequencer externally) I can't get rid of the latency (a good 200mS). Tried KX > settings > setup buffers but no alterations seem to make any difference at all, even when I make them huge. Not using cubase but do have it installed so as a test tried opening a VST instrument and found a similar delay. I have 1 GHz proc running XP SP2 with Emu APS and just downloaded kxdrv3537. My signal path is Motherkbd>[midi]>APS[B4]APS>[audio] >amp.
NB: I also just downloaded a midi info utility which shows midi input as a key is pressed, no delay.

Cheers,
Richard

Something is not right here, although I don't run anything like a software synth, with my PIII, 800 Mhz, I can record around 15 tracks of Audio with around 23ms latency.

Are you using MME or ASIO? If using ASIO, what is the latency set at? Settings->ASIO control panel

So your runnig B4 in stand alone? If so be sure the audio driver is set to kXasio, it sounds to me like you might have it set to AsioMultimedia or some other sound driver.

I run B4 (among others) on a stage pc with kX3534j at 5.33 no problem.

Like Toad, I am one of the Sub-Cult members of the kX 3534f group. My audio performance went way up when I went back to 3534f. I think that the APS cards work fine with 3534f.

hmm, i run APS with kx3537 and have very low latency (5ms) using the b4! so i would say that its your set up that needs adjusting?

make sure youre using ' kx asio'!
