If I had an imagination why couldn't I just imagine that my PCI 32 K R7000 could render as well as a 4850 ! I could even imagine that I actually had imagination! ........ but Noooooo! that won't be good enough, and since after the contest ends there is no whining allowed. I'll do my whining now!

Weight of the Universe

Biotic Power: Weight of the Universe (Or practically Gravity Sink)
Duration: 8 seconds +1 sec a rank.
Recharge: 45 or 60 seconds
Effect: 35% slow and 35% reduced accuracy regeneration + 2% per a rank.
Milestone abilities: The force of Gravity Sink slams so hard that it injures the target for 50 damage. Additional milestones increasing damage as a damage over time. Each second does 10 damage as the weight crushes down upon them.

This biotic power affects one target by increasing the gravity (applies force that pushes down on them) around them and hampering their efforts to move. This causes them to run slower and fatigues their ability to recover from sustained combat as easily and with more powerful users causes constriction that additionally injures the target.

Inertia Accelerator

The Biotics tend to favor affecting enemies rather than allies or the self. So here is one to flesh out the self buffs that also affect the enemies.

Inertia Accelerator:

Effect: Stores the users physical "potential" energy. What this means is that when they melee an enemy they will strike with much higher "kinetic" energy and in lieu of just knocking them down, will also knock them back possibly doing more damage if they hit a wall(a percentage of whatever distance was left in the fall) or bouncing them back and dazing them(Excellent to beat on them again). The added effect is that it also provides defense against other mass altering effects for the biotic user as some of the kinetic energy gets absorbed by the field. Unfortunately storing this potential energy slows the users momentum in like manner as it syphons some of it away.

Milestone ranks: The first smash upon activation that hits an enemy, will be so hard the enemy projectiles through any other enemies knocking them over as well. This only affects the first automatic attempted smash when the power is activated.

Upon use: Will bash automatically at any enemy in range and also slows the biotic's user 20%.
Melee Bash damage increases 10%+.5% damage and fallback distance 50%.
Duration: 10sec+1sec a rank.
Biotic resistance: 10%+.5% a rank.

Overclock:

Only usable against mechanical foes (robots, heavily augmented individuals, etc.), but an extremely effective skill if used correctly.
Discovered while researching for ways to make more effective robotics and circuitry, this skill boosts the throughput of the target's electrical pathways with a double-edged effect, similar to 'overclocking' hence the name.
The affected target gains huge bonuses to speed, targeting, damage and other aspects for the duration of this skill. The caveat is that the target's electrical pathways start to overheat and deteriorate rapidly which quickly leads to a complete meltdown of the circuitry - and destruction of the target. The only way to counter the skill once it has been triggered is to force a manual shutdown & reboo-cyclet at an early stage, which will render the target immobile and vulnerable for a short amount of time.

The behaviour of the opponents affected can vary and introduces an element of randomness - you may end up with a disabled opponent or an even dangerous one for a limited time.

With some tweaks, the skill could also be used as a support skill (for suitable team members) instead of an offensive one.

There's my entry. Hopefully it fits, since I haven't played Mass effect and had to read up a bit on the whole biotics thing

Biotics, huh? Sound cool. I used to play Champions, so I have a decent idea.

The ability works in three different ways:
  • a protective filed
  • A bolt of energy (attack)
  • ability to pick up items of immense weight (but not to throw them)

The catch is that the powers, while possible to use all three at one time, draw from a single source of power. thus, if the shield is raised at 90% capacity, there would only be 10% capacity available to use for the other two powers. Basically it is a Multi-Power.

Since I haven't played Mass Effect I am just guessing as to how they work, anyway.

Super speed
This skill combines two abilities.

1 - The ability to lower the mass of the body of the user very close to no mass.
2 - The ability to increase the mass of space around the body of the user, creating artificial gravity.

Lowering the mass of the body has two advantages. First, because of the light weight, only a small amount of force is necessary to move the body. Second, because the mass is close to none, the user barely feels acceleration when its body rapidly changes speed. This means that the body of the user can withstand accelerations 10 times that of a normal human.

The field around the body can be manipulated to be present only on specific regions of the body. A field on top of the shoulders allows the user to easily hover a few inches above the ground. Combined with fields on other parts of the body, this allows the user to move at high speed in all directions.

Religious Cult :
This talent gave birth to the "Church of the children of God". All members wear cassocks that are long enough to hide their feet. They swear to be the children of God and use their biotic power to prove it with feats such as walking on water. They have been known to be violent. They are rumoured to extremely rapidly hover toward the non believers in back alleys at night to attack them. They are very fearsome because you never hear them coming behind your back.

sweet, i just started playing mass effect too! too bad we can't make tech ideas, would've been a little easier to come up with ideas!

Biotic Power: Reverse Singularity
Duration and Size: 1m+.5 per level
Recharge: 60 seconds
Effect: Using rapidly shifting mass effect fields, this biotic acts like a reverse singularity. Instead of drawing objects toward it, it expels outwards. If targeted at an individual, the biotic will shred them into pieces. When used in a general area, anyone caught within it's radius is pushed to the ground.

Biotic Power: Gravity Well
Duration and Size: 7 seconds +1 sec a rank. 2m+1m per level
Recharge: 30 seconds
Effect: Using mass raising fields, targets caught within the radius of the biotic are pinned to the ground. The gravity is so intense that they are not able to raise weapons to fire or move until the duration of the biotic is over.

Biotic Power: Fly
Duration and Size: 5 seconds +.5 sec a rank
Recharge: 45 seconds
Effect: Using mass lowering fields, the user is able to jump higher into strategic locations.

Biotic Power: Black Hole
Duration and Size: 3 seconds +1 sec a rank. 2m+.5 a rank
Recharge: 60 seconds
Effect: Using large amounts of dark energy, a mini black hole erupts at targeted location and sucks in enemies nearby. If the black hole closes before said enemy is sucked in, if they are able to still fight, they will (so say the ability is able to reach a guy at the edge of its effect radius, but only lasts long enough to get his arm in before closing. the enemy would still be able to fight, just less effectively)

Biotic Power: Reflection
Duration: 10 sec +1 sec a rank.
Recharge: 60 seconds
Effect: The user produces a mass lowering field straight in front of them. Most projectiles that enter the field are slowed and reflected back in the direction they came from (basically a combination of barrier and throw). However high velocity rounds (such as sniper fire) will still pierce the field

Biotic Power: Telekinetic Throw
Duration: 5 seconds +1 sec a rank.
Recharge: 45
Effect: 300 Newtons +50 per rank. Lowering a target's mass, the user is able to pick up and throw an enemy in any direction you want to. They can be thrown into walls like the regular throw biotic, or thrown into other enemies causing both to suffer damage.

as i'm reading other people's ideas, it seems like the concept of the biotic isn't clearly stated on the wiki or people just aren't reading it. The biotic tree deals with manipulating fields of gravity and is reflected by the abilities ingame (throw, lift, singularity).

"Proximal Attrition"

You envelop yourself in a bubble of energy that slowly damages any enemies within its borders. The closer the enemy gets to the source (you), the more damage they take. Good for characters that like to use shotguns or close-range tactics in general.

When improving the skill, each additional level makes the area of effect larger and increases damage.

Effect: You obtain control of your enemy (in their perspective) for
a short amount of time. Earliest rank allows for movement of upper body and no enemy biotic control

Milestone abilities:
*First Milestone allows for control of upper and lower body of enemy.
*Second Milestone allows use of 50% of enemy biotic powers (chosen at random)
*Last Milestone allows for full use of enemy body and biotic powers +1 second Duration.

Best Used:
When caught in a large firefight and several enemies are behind cover or when fighting a boss character that has minions.

hi every1 iīm here to let you know how massive and effective is or will be my biotic
firts of all you guys have to understand that to be a darkside member isnīt just a word that you hear from start wars (or maybe yes), anyway, to recognize this biotic called darkside939īs biotic,as i say before, you have to know something about star wars and the fight between good and evil, but that allways depends on how you see goog and evil. itīs kind of like the ying-yang thing (in every good itīs some part of evil also in every evil itīs some good), so quit the boring thing and now i will tell you about my biotic
first of all is a biotics that MUST be used when you recognize and see every single enemy on your sight, why is that? because this biotic must be aimed to the farest enemy and you will lunch a very fast dark beam against that enemy transforming him into an empty shadow that will try to get back to the one who used this biotic in order to try to transform him into a shadow too but on its way back(iīm talking about the "beam") to you it will transform everyone on its sight. this "beam" is only effective for just 6 seconds and its speed is 10meters per secons, soo you have to calculate that and thatīs why you have to shoot the farest enemy in order to "kill" only bad guys (remeber that this "beam" will return to you but if you shoot a guy thatīs at 40 meters away from you, it wont reach you because it will stop just 20 meters from you "killing" everything with the capacity to hold a gun on its hands on its way back to you. so donīt try to shoot or use this biotic with your nearest enemy because you will become an empty shadow ).

*Offensive abilities, best suited to aggressive character like the Vanguard:

Flux (or Flow/Disintegrate): The biotic channels a stream of energy against a specified target, causing its molecules to rapidly move and heat up. At lower levels the ability only deals one-time damage to the enemy, without side effects. But at higher levels it could light up the target, dealing additional burning/fire damage over time and rendering it (the target) highly inaccurate. Against Geth and other synthetic enemies the ability may cause short stun effect, since the energy flow damages their processing units.

Smash (or Pulverize): The biotic creates a powerful mass effect field around the target which greatly increases gravity for an instant, dealing massive one-time damage to the enemy and slows him down for a brief period of time (due to immense physical pain and shock). The enemy is still able to move, use abilities and shoot, but slower and less accurate than usual.

*Defensive, best for Adepts:

Levitation (or Kinetics): The biotic as able to move objects trough space by altering their mass. The size and weight of the objects the player (or party member) is able to move depends on the dedicated skill points. At higher levels the biotic can freeze projectiles (missiles and rockets) mid-air and to move massive objects, like big crates.
Can be used both defensively (to create artificial cover) or offensively in combination with Throw (to bombard the enemy with physical objects, even corpses and projectiles). Could also be used to reach rates containing items more easily.

Teleport (or Bend): Allows the biotic to instantly “shift” his position in space, like a ship jumping through a mass relay. Can only be used within very small distances, and could potentially deal small damage to own health. Best used to avoid charging krogan or missiles when caught in a tight space and can’t evade otherwise.

*Just my personal opinion how they fit into the game and character types.

As it goes Mass Effect has pretty much covered all things needed for biotics... But I would have "Critical Shield" - pretty much a protective bubble surrounds you and your party leaving you invulnerable until the skill time runs out (first level would be for 2 seconds or something)

The Biotic when used on a robotic , it will act like a giant magnet forcing all other robotics in the area to be attracted to it and eventually collide with it disabling them all

Miller Time: inebriates all targets in affected cone, forcing them to drop their weapons and stumble around for the nearest toilet (or oil drum). Also may cause affected enemies and allies to open up more, possibly confessing crushes and the coercion of sexual desires.

the enemy will sees us as a spooky ghost, and they'll run away from the battle in a great fear.

This, when used, causes the player to slow down everything around slightly. The player, in turn, is able to move at a faster speed. The side effect of this is that if possibly hit during its activation, the player takes a severe amount of damage.

Naz2222 biotic: this turian biotic sends me one of the HD4850 existent in the Normandy(they use them in the galaxy map by the way)! this card comes to me through DriverHeaven, because I helped to save the Universe against council orders!! and well deserved I might say!!
