DH Competition: Win a Zotac 9800 GTX GFX

Why do I deserve this video card?
Well the truth of the matter is, I do not. Nor does any one else deserve this video card. Its a prize for a completion. If you would like to ask why would I like the video card. Its very simple. I am working on building a new system to watch movies and play some games on occasion. I can not play any games that requires Pixel shader 3. So I need a more up to date card. I recently lost my job. So the machine that i was building is unfinished. I purchased the hard drive Case and power supply. However I ran out of money to buy the Mother board, CPU, Video card, and ram. The last machine Built was 3 years ago. It was older Technology at the time but it worked. I could play half life 2. And that was good enough for me at the time. But i cant run Bio-shock or splinter cell double agent or even play supreme commander. I cant play team fortress 2. So I would like to get a card that could play those games. I usually only buy Bang for buck cards. But i find my self wanting to get high def video capability eventually. So in truth. I do not deserve this video card but i would very much apreciate it.

Hi driverheaven's staff

I am one of the most famous french overclocker working with lot of recent hardware (9800gx2, 3way sli..)
But i have no 9800gtx at the moment. Sure i will buy 2 or 3 of these, but if you choose to offer it to me, it could be nice to see "Thx to driverheaven" on all screens & boards

hehe

But the most important reason is not to see what this 9800gtx rates: If i have not this card, zotac's evil mind will haunt your staff forever

I am really impatient to try this gtx under ln2

An orginal tribute to a GameR in this world is the GPU he has armed in his armery. I think my PC castle is deficient of a crucial armery

which is the ZOTAC 9800 GTX. Combining both the world could watch the "XtermitY" of gaming

, that is a castle impossible to capture.

I deserve this card because I've been working out and playing sports so hard in anticipation of banging out this post with the speed, the precision and the fury of a top level athlete, but only ended up getting my middle finger jammed by a football that was thrown really badly. As I sit here and type this now, I'm looking down on a swollen, slightly redish/purplish middle finger, which has practically disabled me from my physical activities. So I turn to my PC for some solace in gaming but am further discouraged by my X1950XT that is starting to artifact due to an overheating VREG.

Seems I can't win either way. However, if I were to have this Zotac card, I would be able to cope with my lack of physical activity and make a full recovery in due time. Help out a fellow hardware enthusiast trying ton conquer his goals of becoming more athletically shaped!

I just passed my midterm for a class that will now allow me to graduate and transfer to San Jose State University, its about time I get some recognition for my efforts. This card, for example

(if I didn't pass this midterm I wouldn't of been able to pass the rest of the class, in case you were wondering)

Why should I deserve this card? Well, I don't, but you have to give it to me!

The reasons? Let's see the list...

1. A 9800 GTX would help me get laid less, so I can spare my energy for hardcore gaming

2. A 9800 GTX would allow me to humiliate all those in my YM list with my 3DMark scores!
3. A 9800 GTX will surely help maintaining world peace and prosperity (I would sleep peaceful after gaming 24 hours non-stop, and Zotac will sale a lot of similar cards, because I would advertise it to all my friends, even those that are not in the YM list, and don't even have a desktop computer!)
4. Winning this card will also make happy those at the customs office, who will gladly make me pay some VAT or import taxes for it, no matter if the package bears a huge "PRESENT, not susceptible to any tax" red writing on it.
5. Finally, my neighbours would be delighted to hear engines, screams, and shots from my apartment, instead of high-volume music (heavy metal, most of the time), so they will also thank you for giving a 9800 GTX to me.

These are my 5 reasons, but you don't have to give me 5 cards, I think one would be enough!

I believe I deserve this video card; or I should say My family deserves this card. I will tell you why. I am 45 years old, served my country many years ago and My father taught me plumbing from when I was a small boy until I lost my leg due to an auto accident where I was ran over because a kid was more interested in his girlfriend than driving. 9 months after I lost my leg I took over the family business and ran it for a few years with 1 leg. yes a one legged plumber with a wooden leg! LOL.
Time took it`s toll and I was not able to do plumbing anymore so I took some classes in computers and worked for Gateway, Microsoft , and Dell as Tech support. Again my injuries from my accident were too much and I was placed on Social security Disability. So far you are asking yourself why is this guy giving his life story ; we don't care just stop- get to the point and finish .
This is where you are going to have to ask yourself if it is a poor me story or a story of someone who has faced obstacles in their lives and would have been bitter at life. It is how you look at life. I am grateful to be alive, I have donated my old prosthetic legs to charity for others who cannot walk. I have given of my time to help others who need computer help. to have a family to love and teach values and morels.

I would use this card for educational purposes as well as fun. My son wants to write video games, there is also Folding@Home as well as Genealogy for research past family members.

I will not mention about finances because we all are not born with fat wallets. I will put the ZODIAC 9800 GTX to very good use and teach my children many things from it. The main Issue would be to write a letter of gratitude as a family to the organization donating this video card. No good deed goes unnoticed ; all it takes is to look for the positive things in life instead of the negative . This is why I believe I should win this ZODIAC 9800 GTX video card.

I deserve this card because I've been raising my 4 children all which are boys by the way. and money is quite limited a budget and all,would really love to get this for my system and try out some great games that are out there. Thankz Driver Heaven and Zotac. Great card indeed.

of all people i can understand being broke and lusting over the next great thing that my wallet can only dream of. the urge to upgrade when my system still laughs at new releases. and who can't sympathize with those anxiously awaiting the shocking graphics of tetris and hi def porn?

really, i feel your pain...

i have loftier goals - reclaiming my system from the grips of my girlfriend-turned-gamer. i need a video card that will pry her hands from my tired keyboard and hypnotize her with stunning game play OF HER OWN! trust me, i'm stabbing my eyes out as i jump on this bandwagon, but i'd like to build her a new system for her upcoming birthday.

so please, all the 15 year olds with nothing better to do than pop into a forum and acquire a membership just to say "pick me, lol, cuz my card, tee hee, just isn't cutting it, lol, pick me" here's my advice to you:
-get some sun on that pasty computer bleached skin
-apply for a job that requires some aptitude
-find a girl that doesn't notice your pocket protector
(if you're lucky she'll respect your "me" time for gaming)
-build your dream system (that you won't have time for with a girlfriend)
-wait for the wench to steal it

then come and post all you want about just how much you deserve it

i have the potential to have the PERFECT girlfriend who will game WITH me if she has a good card of her own. let me live the dream.
