The Previously released 5870 can run a maximum of 3 displays at a combined total resolution of 7680x3200 using a combination of 3 of the 4 ports on the back of the card.

The soon to be released 5870 will have the ability to run 6 displays out of the back of the card for a max resolution of....Well I don't know anybody who can afford 6 30" monitor's so I have no idea.
