unfortunalt you will be stuck with creative mp3 players. but I would really get a rio karma one.
or some other rio one: www.rioaudio.com/ the creative ones are pretty good too though and why WMA support. dont you know its the worst sounding format out there. www.hydrogenaudio.org had a test on it recently. EDIT: whooo cheap http://www.digitalnetworksna.com/sho...del=216&cat=35 and really good!!!

i don't care about the different formats and opinions - no offense but i've has enough off "xxx is sh/t, yyy is better"
WMA works fine for me, my entire library is WMA and i'm happy i don't mean to attack you or anything though

ahh most thing totally own the IPod? even on amazon.com the rating Ipod has 4 starts rio karma has 5. hopefully we will see the 6 hours batter time player die out soon (my g/f has one, she hates it) . and the really cheap usb key things sound really awful. rather save up some money and get a mp3 player which you will like.

I'm thinking since you're on a budget..flash..one big reason if you drop it...smaller too.

ok...here we go...here is my little plug for iriver!!!
ihp-120 price right now is mid 200s, major price drop at www.compuplus.com (very good price, i bought it at 350) major features: -File tree media view -Standard Tag database view -on board mic recording -on board mp3 encoding -line in recording --(recording can be done in *.wav or *.mp3) -nice display -can display *.txt files (so you can read etc) -can display song lyrics -line in -line out -optical in -optical out -high SNR (higher than Ipod, not sure the exact value though) -plays mp3, ogg, wav, wma -shuffle, shuffle by artist, directory, playlist -playlist support (*.m3u) -song queuing -16 hour lithim polymer batt..(more stable than litium ion, no memory effects) -remote control -(most useful) plug and play ext HDD functionality with any OS later than Windows ME (2000, me, NT4+, XP)...no drivers needed yay! out of box accesories: -leather case -ear buds -ext. microphone -usb cable -charger -remote control 1 year warranty as well all in all, i couldnt be happier with the thing...it's so great. you might want to get yourself a good set of headphones to go with it though, the stock ones are decent, but done stay in and dont really block outside noise too well. www.misticriver.net is a community that has a LOT of info about them if you want to look around...i posted there a lot when they first started up but havent been back in a good while... |

I don't think the iRiver has gapless playback. That tends to be a turn off for people who like to listen to CDs straight through.

actually... Mp3's burnt on Cd's and a Cd walkman that plays mp3s from the cd.... while having a large digital buffer of well over 3 minutes... = pretty much a pure mp3 player
