The
recently released Dark Messiah: Might and Magic
is the latest game to use Valves Source engine.
The result is a game which plays flawlessly on
mid range hardware however greatly benefits from
high end systems where all of the options can
be set to maximum. As with Half-Life 2 Ep1, Dark
Messiah features HDR effects for added graphical
excellence.

Our
final standard gaming test for this review shows
that the trend of the XT and GTS each having
strong results in one area continues. On
average the GTS has the higher result however
the XT is more impressive when it comes to minimum
frames per second. As the engine isn’t the
most demanding in the world the minimum framerate
is less important than some other tests and so
overall for Dark Messiah our preferred card is
the GTS.
