The Fatal1ty AA8XE also comes with Abit's software suite
which provides all the monitoring and tweaking settings
that you’re going to need.
All of the utilities are well laid out and easy to understand
and operate, here are some shots of the which show the
overclocking section. Bios update tool and monitor.
The bios on the AA8XE is an Award bios version and will
therefore be familiar to most of you.
Configuration options are plentiful here and whether
you’re a novice or advanced over clocker you will
be catered for. Here’s where you’ll spend
most of you’re over clocking setup time…

You can see above there are various options
such as the multiplier, fsb and memory speed as well as
the standard voltage settings. In the above screenshot
you’ll see we had the user define setting enabled,
this was due to a small issue with the board over clocking
our PCU to 3.5xghz when on the default settings. Even
with the latest bios the CPU wasn’t set to the stock
speed so we configured the system ourselves.
Memory settings can also be completely
configured from within the bios as shown in the screenshot
below.

The final interesting section of the
AA8XE’s bios is the EQ section which shows masses
of information on the system temps, voltages and fans.
Far more information than any other motherboards on the
market.
