Now it is time
to confirm your installation of the software. Musicmatch
Jukebox is included with the software, but since I’m
no fan of this particular program so I chose not install
it.
The progress
of the installation screen:
After the software is installed,
its time to reboot the system.
Although this
is nothing new when it comes to Logitech mice, it
still is a pretty nice feature that lets you know
when the batteries are running low.

SetPoint:
When starting
the SetPoint software for the first time this is the
screen you’re greeted by. Here you can configure
your buttons to your liking, but I left them to default.
This is the
mouse movement window, where you can adjust your scrolling
and pointer speed plus choose your acceleration. If
Smart Move is enabled the pointer automatically jumps
to the active button each time you open a new window
or dialog. To me this is a pretty useless function
but I’m sure some would find it helpful in some
situations.
In this page
you can set how early the software should warn about
low battery status, ranging from 5% to 30%.
This is the Mouse Game Settings
page, where you can configure the mouse game settings.
In the Advanced
Game settings you can fine tune the sensitivity on
the mouse; the dpi modes can be tuned into perfection
in 50 dpi steps. This is a very nice function because
the standard 2000, 800 and 400dpi that are pre-defined
might not be exactly what you want. You can also use
this application to set different gaming profiles,
which is a nice feature too.
