We all know how the choice of RAM affects current P4 and Athlon systems, but just how does the choice of memory affect the performance of your AMD Opteron (or Athlon FX) system. Today we take a look at a stick of Crucial DDR 333 and look at what gains can be obtained over DDR 266.


Packaging and the Stick:

The memory comes packaged in Crucial’s brown cardboard box which provides more than adequate protection from the outside world. Upon opening the box the DIMM is sealed in anti-static material as with most PC components.
