Over
clocking of the cards on test today follows the
same method used in our previous 8800 reviews.
The program used was ATI Tool which allows us
to over clock the cards using small increments
until we find the maximum core and memory speeds.
The fastest 320Mb GTS that we have seen to date
was Foxconn’s overclocked model which reached
625 MHz core and 1910 MHz memory and that gives
us a good reference figure for how good these
cards today should be. Starting with the BFG model
we were able to reach very similar clocks to the
Foxconn and ended up on 620 MHz core and 1920
MHz memory. The XFX card was slightly more impressive
ending up on 630 MHz core and 1940 MHz memory,
becoming the new over clocking performance leader
for the 320Mb GTS series.
Here is how the over clock
affected the performance in Supreme Commander
