Introduction

We have received for test and review the ZEROtherm Premium: Nirvana NV120 CPU Cooler.  The ZEROtherm line of products is manufactured by a company named, APACK, Co. Ltd.

APACK’s main focus is on cooling products that produce “ZERO” noise levels.  In that vein, the company continues to research and develop technology for the next-generation of products.  Due to its dedication to such products, it has become a technology partner to many of the well-known major companies with the most well-known being Samsung.

The Packaging:

The retail box is pleasantly designed without a lot of distracting text.  The images on the box are easily interpreted with the short text reference beneath each one.  Note that the Nirvana NV120 comes with kit to use on either AMD or Intel CPUs.

The plastic window gives an adequate view of the size of the cooler.  As the name indicates, it uses a 120MM fan mounted on the unit.

The rear of the retail box gives some more information and the specifications table.  One thing that gets our immediate attention is the overall size of the unit, it’s going to take up some significant space in our PC Case, so, that’s one thing to keep in mind as we proceed.

As we open the retail box, we notice that the NV120 is well packaged in hard plastic.  The ‘lid’ of the plastic package is easily removed by lifting one corner from the ‘locks’ that hold it in place.

Here we see the entire contents laid out for easy viewing.  The manual is provided in various languages and the images are easily interpreted.  Also included is a small tube of the ZEROtherm thermal paste.

Take note that this isn’t a lightweight unit.  Without components, the NV120 comes in at a hefty 628 g.
