Conclusion: Hopefully you havent just clicked "conclusion" and have read the new technologies detailed earlier and have studied the incredible figures achieved at the highest resolutions (1600x1200) with all the eye candy turned on. I have never been so excited by a graphics card as I have in testing the X800XT, its simply the fastest piece of hardware ive had the pleasure to review. No matter what you throw at it, it comes out with flying colours and some frame rates to make your legs turn to jelly. Playing the incredible farcry on my 22inch ilyama monitor was phenomenal, I could almost jump into the screen it looked so well and ran so smooth. Ive heard concerns that ATI have removed the "heatsink" since the 9800XT but this is due to the fact this card uses the cool running GDDR3 supplied at 1120mhz which comfortably overclocks to a mindblowing 1200mhz without artifacting. ATI know customers dont want hideous fans whirring away when you start to game and with their engineering skills the whole package is surprisingly quiet. A cutting edge card like this comes with quite a substantial price tag and if you cant afford the top of the line then I suggest you check out the wonderfully overclockable and reasonably priced X800Pro (see our review), as for its big brother the XT it has everything and its got it in abundance ...... you want your games to run with the maximum texture quality at 1600x1200?, you want them with four or six times Anti Aliasing and sixteen times anistrophic filtering? Then you will want the X800XT from ATI, nothing compares.
