Call of Juarez DX10
A while ago the developers of CoJ released a DX10 benchmarking demo. While the demo is useless if you want to experience the game it is an excellent tool to test the cards with, especially since everyone who possesses a DX10 card can use it to compare the results with our own. Seeing how the cards we are testing today barely survived all our DX9 tests we decided to run the benchmark at 1024x768 with textures set to 1024x1024 and audio off. AA was obviously disabled.
You’ll have to agree with us that the numbers here are not only low, but abysmally so. Considering that even the fastest 8800 cards on the market are having trouble with the game in DX10 mode this comes as no surprise. Thanks to the very precise in-game benchmark we can see the differences between the cards quite clearly though. The HD2400 came out a clear victor and it was also the only card that managed to break the 10fps barrier. The two nVidia cards lag behind by a good 2 fps, and the slow shader clock on the Zotac card once again made the XFX card a few percent faster.
