The Ultra Case Revealed
All of the exterior protection is now removed
and yet there’s still more on the interior.
Finally, all of the protective layers are removed
and we get to see the ULTRA GRID PC case in all
its glory. The above photo is the case
with the front bezel closed.
In the above photo we see the case from the
opposite angle and can see very clearly the front
panel I/O connections for USB and Audio. A
Firewire “knock-out plug” is available
if the user intends to use Firewire.
(A close-up shot of the Front Panel I/O connectors.)
Here’s a shot from the rear angle. As
shown, the ULTRA GRID includes a 700W PSU. We’ll
talk more about this later.
Here’s the full view from the rear. The
ULTRA GRID comes with two 120mm fans included
and ready to simply plug in. One is located
at the front of the case for input and the other
is for exhaust and is shown in the above photo. Notice
that the holes are designed for the use of smaller
fans if desired.
I have no qualms about describing this as a
really classy looking PC case. The slick
black finish is sharp and very attractive. The
silver highlights of the labeling and trim just
make this simple design very appealing.
Let’s look now at some of the features
close-up.
There’s an easy finger grip for the front
bezel.
There’s added ventilation in the side
panel as shown.
And, there’s a lot to see and appreciate
on the back panel.
Four finger bolts make it easier for the side
panel removal. Additionally, each panel
has a finger grip area to make the physical removal
of the panels that much easier.
And, if it’s security you’re
after, there’s a place to install a padlock
to keep unauthorized persons from accessing the
internals of the PC.
In the above photo you can see the ON/OFF button
with the Power light just below, the HDD LED
just below that and the RESET button at the bottom. There
are Four 5 ¼ inch bays and Two Floppy
size bays. You can also see the 120 mm
fan at the bottom.
