Conclusion

The Matrox TripleHead2Go as a concept is great however this excellent idea does come at a cost. The unit itself is reasonably placed at around $299 (most recent RRP we have received) however when you add the cost of three displays to your system budget the overall price does rise quickly, even more so if you consider buying higher specification displays with ultra thin bezels.

Additionally in our opinion you won’t use it day to day because the resizing of application windows will be an annoyance rather than a benefit, that said it does manage to take gaming to a whole new level and for this alone it may be a worthwhile purchase.

If the window resizing can be overcome then this will be a Gold Award product, however for now based purely on the 3D experience we’ll give the Matrox TripleHead2Go a silver award. If you are a gamer with three screens lying around, or have a large bank balance and an even larger desk get yourself one of these … it will truly enhance your gaming.
