The cooler

The Amanda cooler is simply monstrous. A towering cooler with 8 heatpipes, two 92mm fans which weights more than 1Kg is a sight to behold. The cooler is encased in a plastic body, creating a wind tunnel between the two fans. The nickel plated base of the cooler is so smooth and shiny that even minor dust becomes instantly visible. The fans are entirely made out of plastic, but have silver painted blades, which look better than standard black fans.

Installation

The installation of the Amanda cooler is easy in theory, as you only have to mount it using 4 screws. Unfortunately you have to screw them in place from the rear of the motherboard, which is not impossible but requires a bit of finesse. Since the cooler is quite large, you probably will not be able to hold it, the motherboard and the screwdriver all together at the same time, so we placed the cooler on the desk and were holding the motherboard over it in order to place the screws. Afterwards, you only have to place the PCI card inside a PCI slot, connect the cable from the card to the cooler and the motherboard fan headers, assemble the system and you are ready to go. Do not forget to place a Molex connector on the PCI card; it is where the TEC cooler is taking power from. That’s right, no external power supply lines anymore, so kudos to Titan on that front. It is also important to ensure that the exhaust fan is pointing towards the rear of the case before installing the cooler!
