With the above configuration
we tested the modules at the following speeds:
RAM
timings
Maximum
100% stable operating frequency (DDR)
3/4/3/12
800MHz
5/5/5/15
1066MHz
Afterwards, we overclocked
our processor further, at 3.85GHz (275MHz FSB)
which resulted at a speed of 1100MHz with 5/5/5/15
timings. It was not much of an overclock since
our system began to error if overclocked any more,
however greater results may be achieved with higher
voltage settings.

Sisoft
Sandra 2007 is a popular synthetic benchmark,
commonly used when testing the speed of RAM modules.
When testing the RAM buffered, the overall speed
is heavily affected by the CPU and FSB speed.
Testing the RAM unbuffered will provide much more
accurate results, but beware that Sisoft Sandra
is a synthetic benchmark and does not represent
real-world performance. Here we see that despite
the tight timings at 800MHz, running the modules
at 1066MHz always yields better results, except
from the latency test speed factor. The 266MHz
speed difference appears to be too great in this
case to compensate.

PCMark05
is a very popular system benchmark which can test
almost every component of your PC. By running
several and varied tests, it is trying to provide
results representing real world performance as
close as possible. We ran only the system and
memory series of tests and noted these two scores
alone during our testing. Here the performance
gap between the low latency and stock speed settings
is small, but severely widens as we overclock
the CPU higher, since the PCMark tests are also
aided by the speed of your processor.
