The Revoltec Gamepad Basic
looks to be a simple, cloth mouse pad, but it
is just a bit more than that. The surface of the
pad is very soft and fine, aiding the mouse movements
and precision a lot. The bottom of the pad is
made from slip resistant rubber and the cut of
the pad aids its aesthetic appearance. The only
downside of this pad is that the surface is easy
to damage/degrade and very, very easy to get dirty.
Thankfully, the material is washable, but washing
it frequently will sure degrade its characteristics
over time.

The
GamePad Advanced is a better, more sophisticated
offering from Revoltec than the Basic version.
It is made from plastic, not cloth, which makes
it much more durable and much easier to clean.
The surface is very smooth and slippery, aiding
mouse movements a lot. The bottom of the pad is
special rubberized plastic, making it very slip
resistant. True enough, the Advanced version of
the GamePad felt quite more slip resistant than
the Basic version when testing in on slippery
surfaces (e.g. glass).

Revoltec
offers a third version of the GamePad Precision,
the Pro. This mouse pad is somewhat expensive,
so it’s meant for people who want something
special on their desk. It comes inside a nice
carrying bag, for those who attend LAN parties
often. It is smaller than both the Basic and Advanced
versions, but does not feel inadequate. The main
pad is encircled in a rubber frame and can be
flipped between the low sense surface (faster
movements, less precision) and the high sense
surface (slower, more precise movement). This
way you can use the side which is most suitable
for the game you are playing. The rubber frame
also creates a small, cozy palmrest for your hand
which we came to love after a few hours of use.
