OCZ DDR3-1333 Platinum Edition

OCZ’s Platinum Edition DDR3 comes packaged in the standard plastic packet which keeps the modules in place during shipping. It also provides some basic protection. A small leaflet is included which outlines the basic specification of the product as well as some marketing information.

The sticks feature OCZ’s XTC heat sinks which are designed to promote airflow within the modules as well as conducting heat away from the memory chips in the traditional way.

Stuck to the heat sinks is some information which allow the user to easily see the specifications to configure their BIOS. As shown in the picture above and the CPU-Z screen shot below these particular sticks are designed to use timings of 7-7-7-20 out of the box. Manual configuration is required to boot at 1333 and to achieve these specifications a voltage of 1.8 is used. Looking at the OCZ website we see that the sticks are guaranteed up to 1.95v by OCZ’s lifetime warranty.
