above is one of the OCZ PC2-8800 modules. This
is a 1gb module which comes with spd timings of
5-5-5-15 @ 400mhz and features OCZ’s XTC
heatspreader in gold. As with most modules there
are additional timings to increase compatibility
with motherboards which don’t support DDR2-800.
The main selling point however is the ability
to use the modules at 1100mhz with timings of
5-6-6-15.
The
XTC design of OCZ’s heat spreaders allow
for greater airflow within the product which reduces
temperatures and with voltage specifications on
these modules of 2.2-2.4 volts the better cooling
may be a great help to any overclocking. The OCZ
lifetime warranty allows for a +5% over spec figure
which will certainly be reassuring for overclockers.
