Kingston Hyper X
Kingston have a compact and plain package for their memory. The modules are clearly visible through the front and a sticker gives basic information on the product, although there is no mention of voltages or timings used. Inside as well as the sticks there is a small leaflet which gives warranty information and contains a short installation guide.
These are HyperX modules and so the aluminium heat spreader is branded accordingly. On one side of the module is a small sticker which again gives basic information on the product, including voltage, but no mention of timings. Using CPU-z we were able to see that these modules are SPD programmed for 800MHz with 5-5-5-16 timings at 1.8v. This low figure is ideal for successful booting in motherboards which are picky about voltages. In order to gain full performance from the modules they should be configured in the bios to boot at 2.2v, 1066MHz and 5-5-5-15 all of which is covered by the lifetime warranty.
