Final words and conclusion

What we did like:

One of the good points of the 3310BL UFO cooler is that it can be mounted on any current CPU. This is obviously very versatile and aids an end user in platform switchovers. The design of the cooler is very nice as well, as it is aesthetically appealing and also has blue lighting, so it should appeal to many people who are modding their computer or simply have cases with clear side panels. The performance of the cooler is certainly not the best on the planet but it is very good nevertheless, especially for its price range.

What we did not like:

Unfortunately the cooler is not much of a performer under silent mode. And even more unfortunate is the fact that when running at medium speed the cooler is audible. It will certainly not appeal to those who abhor noise.

Who would we recommend it to:

To any user who likes a nice looking cooler offered at a good price. Unfortunately it may not be the best solution for people seeking silence as the cooler is not much of a performer under silent mode. Despite that, the small size of the cooler can make it effective in small cases, like HTPC systems, as long as they don’t feature hot running powerful CPUs since the cooler will become loud. For people running a more mainstream processor the cooler is effective enough to keep everything in check.

Considering the above, we present the NorthQ 3310BL UFO 80mm copper cooler with our Heavenly Hardware Silver Award.
