Final words and conclusion
What we did like:
The impressive presence of the NZXT Apollo
will be desired by many. While many companies
try to impress with strange designs and funky
colours and lighting, the Apollo will stand
out with its simplicity and elegance. The quality
of the Apollo is above average for a case in
this price range. A great deal of attention
was given on the door of the Apollo; we haven’t
seen many cases before with steel door hinges
and a magnetic door lock. The tool-less design
of the case makes it very convenient to use.
Finally the cooling options of the Apollo are
excellent, with two 120mm fans pre-installed
and another 120mm intake hole present at the
front of the case.
What we did not like:
There are few things which downgrade the overall
feel of the Apollo. One of them is the front
tinted plastic window on the case’s door.
While it is a good idea in theory, the very
strong tinting will render most LCD screens unreadable.
As the inside of the door is black, the tinting
should be less intense in order to allow LCD
screens to be clearly visible through it. The
side window panel looks great however it is
a little on the flimsy side. We would like
to see a thicker side panel window.
Who we would recommend it to:
The NZXT Apollo which will most certainly
appeal to everyone looking for a case which
will not go unnoticed by the elegance of its
design. It is not overly expensive, yet it
has an impressive presence, offers good quality
and is ergonomic. The Apollo is a very good
addition in the product line-up of NZXT.
