Overview:
The
AVC-K1 is certainly a very different kind of case,
a hybrid between a high tech HTPC case and a gamers’
midi tower case. The front has an array of control
keys and knobs, displays and other features. It
is the kind of case which certainly won’t
go unnoticed even from someone who has little
inclination towards technology.

Inside
the case we are greeted by a good bundle which
is also very well packed. This is the first time
we have seen the screws, drive rails and cable
ties coming inside a plastic package rather than
a plastic bag, carefully arranged and separated.
While this has nothing to do with the performance
of the case, it was quite insightful and will
certainly help first time system builders to organize
their build. There is also a well written and
illustrated manual to aid the building procedure.
Finally, there is the iMon remote control which
you can use to control your system. The capabilities
of the iMon control are endless, we will introduce
some to you later on in this review, but it is
safe to say that when you get used to the iMon
remote you won’t need a keyboard and mouse
to control your HTPC anymore.
