Here you can
see the bottom side of the Logitech G7, where the
2000dpi laser eye which is capable of processing images
at a speed of 6.4megapixels/second and have an acceleration
of 20G is located. The little green button that can
be seen to the left is where you can turn the G7 off,
which can be useful if you know you won’t be
using the mouse for a longer period of time.
That green
opening to the right on the mouse is the slot for
the lithium-ion battery. The Logitech G5 (the corded
brother of the G7) has an adjustable weight cartridge
where the G7 have its battery cartridge. Some gamers
may be picky about their mouse weight, and might consider
the less expensive younger brother. Personally I haven’t
had the chance to test the G5 so I can’t really
compare the two.
Inserting the
battery pack into the G7 couldn’t be easier,
just slide it in until it locks. To release it just
press the eject button and the battery pops out.
In the pictures
below you can see the charging station and the 2.4GHz
mini receiver. The USB mini receiver can be put in
any USB slot of your computer, but I choose to connect
it to the charging station which by the way also is
powered by USB.
Here is the charging station
with the spare lithium-ion and the mini receiver hooked
up.
