PCMark 2002 was released
a couple of years ago by Madonion (now Futuremark) the makers of 3DMark.
It allows users to benchmark their Hard Drive, Memory and Processor
under a variety of tests which are designed to show how the system
will perform in home and office tasks.
As expected the CPU scores for PCMark2002 is significantly improved over the FX-51 results. The 8% change in clockspeed brings a 8% change in CPU score. The FX-53 also manages to get some extra performance from the DDR400 used in the test system though its clear the memory scores are nearing the maximum possible on this setup. The hard drive performance change is within the margin of error and really cant be improved by the FX-53, its already running at maximum performance.
