Packaging and Bundle

CoolerMaster have put a lot of attention into the packaging. The box of the M1000 is one of the best power supply packages we have seen. The front of the box is simple with only a picture of the unit and the part number on it, but the sides and the rear of the box are littered with the specifications and features of the unit, right down to the last detail. By opening the box, we find the unit and all of its accessories separated and well secured between thick Styrofoam pieces. Besides being very attractive the packaging does offer a good deal of protection, which is important.

While most PSUs do not have a bundle worth mentioning, the M1000 is an exception. Besides the very detailed manual which is written in 9 languages and the black 3M screws for mounting the unit, CoolerMaster have supplied a case sticker with their logo and an aluminum keychain in the package as well. Furthermore, the cables of the unit come in a rolling case. You can place all of the cables you are not using in the case, roll it and store it away rather than throwing all of the cables in a box or drawer somewhere. Of course these have nothing to do with the performance of the unit itself, but the packaging and the bundle of the unit are very appealing.
