As we move along we will take a look at the layout
of the interior of the Mystique 631. On the right
is a close-up of the tool free drive bay design.
Once you have your drive in place you just have
to slide the plastic mounting rail forward and
press down on the small tab to secure the drive
in position.
Now
let’s look at the hard drive storage bays.
Cooler Master has placed a 120mm blue led fan
to intake air from outside. This fan should provide
decent cooling for whatever drives you install
here. The area that houses the hard drives is
also aluminum and has several pre drilled holes
to assure good air flow. To the right we have
a WD 80GB SATA drive inserted into place in our
case. You can see that the pre drilled holes in
the aluminum serve as guides for our hard drive.
It’s as simple as attaching a rail to each
side of our drive and sliding it into place, very
nice indeed.
These
next images show us the 120mm exhaust fan, the
PSU location and the tool free area for add on
cards. The lever just below the fan controls the
mechanism that is responsible for securing the
cards that we add to our system.
Below
you can see the Mystique with everything installed
and running. The depth of the chassis could be
slightly deeper in our mind but we did manage
to fit our X1900XT inside with the power cable
attached to the card. If we tried to attach the
cable after the card was seated and secured it
required putting too much strain on the PCI-e
connector cable, so we strongly recommend connecting
the cable before seating the card.
