NFSU2 is the latest in the Need For Speed range, as well as being a whole load of fun to play the game engine is excellent from a graphics point of view. There are various nice road/environment effects and light/reflection features that make the game very demanding. Our tests were run with all graphics options set to maximum in game. Where indicated maximum AA was also set ingame. The results for the AX700Pro are very impressive, the game is completely playable at 1280x960 and 1024x768, even with a little AA applied at 1024 the game thunders along. The graphs do show a drop in min FPS at 1280x960 to 21fps however this wasn’t noticeable when actually playing and was caused by some smoke from the tyre’s causing some highly demanding onscreen effects.
