The Chassis Exterior
With all the protection removed we can see the Antec Fusion Black 430 has a nice black anodized aluminium front bezel. It’s only the front that is aluminium however, the rest is regular steel painted in black.
Here you get a glimpse of the front connectivity; it has the commonly used fire wire, dual USB and headphone + mic connections. It also has a volume knob in the front along with the standard power on and reset buttons.
The front LCD and a 5.25” slot for your DVD drive.
If we move to the side of the case, dual 120mm exhaust fans can be seen which is a rather uncommon for a HTPC case. Usually these kinds of cases use the louder and less effective 80mm or even 60mm fans for system cooling.
Here’s a view from the back of the Fusion…
And a shot of the left side of the case, as you probably have noticed already, this case has lots of ventilation holes; the left side is no exception these holes will help keep the PSU cool.
And finally a shot from the upper side of the case where more ventilation can be seen, these are just above where the graphic card would be placed.
The rear feet are made of silicon like rubber to help minimize vibrations resonating onto your desk or your living room shelf. The front feet are not made of the same material though; they have a more appealing appearance and are made of aluminium with a rubber base.
