Alienware – Bundle

Alienware don’t skip on the hardware specifications and they don’t skip on the bundle either. Pictured below is the plethora of goods we received with our unit.

Included in the bundle are the restore discs, XP cd, utilities CD, mouse-mat, Bluetooth adapter, UDB floppy drive, DVI>analogue connector, T-shirt and numerous pieces of documentation, some of which are personalised. All in all it gives the Alienware that added level of quality which is lacking in so many laptop bundles.

*Note: At the time of writing Alienware also offer a Vodaphone 3G wireless card with their laptop which entitles you to a free PCMCIA 3G card and £20 of usage. We decided to test out the order process and card install and are happy to report that the Wireless card arrived 4 days after ordering and was a breeze to set up. The card does not require a contract and you are billed monthly for your usage. The tariff is £2 per mb used and Vodaphone supply a tool which allows you to keep track of your usage.

All in all, a pretty spectacular machine. Before we talk about general day to day use of the system lets just take a second to confirm the specs.
