The Trio
As would be expected, the packaging for the microSD Trio is quite small. However, it’s also quite sturdy and protective. The plastic shelf display shows a very pleasing and clean design without a lot of clutter to distract from the contents. Enough information is provided so that one would get some idea of what to expect. However, there really are some surprises in store once the actual product is in hand.
Take notice of the apparent two pieces contained in the small hard plastic case within the package.
The smaller of the two pieces is the actual memory module. This module slides into the side of the larger component where you see the indentation on the left.
To give an idea of the actual size of these components, I’ve placed a USA Quarter alongside for comparison purposes in the following photos.
This photo shows the smaller memory module inserted into the larger component.
This photo shows the reverse side of the larger module. In this configuration, the entire component can be inserted into the appropriate device and/or a memory card reader.
This photo shows the end cap removed from the larger component making it available to be inserted into a USB port on the PC. In this manner, one can bypass having to use a memory card reader or even to use the camera’s cable for downloading data to the PC. Simply slide off the end cap and plug in the USB port and start downloading.
Direct connection to a USB port.
This photo shows all three of the separate parts of the microSD Trio.
