PNY 5900 v Hercules 9800

The Angel of Darkness is one of the few games on the market that takes advantage of DirectX 9 features such as Pixel Shader 2.0. For this benchmark we have created our own timedemo which forces the use of Pixel Shader 2.0 and uses the Paris 3 level.

In our creation of the Driverheaven TRAOD benchmark we made a conscious effort to make sure pixel shader 2.0 (a directX 9 only feature) was frequently onscreen/rendered. The above results show the large gulf in performance between the two cards when shaders are used in this way. The 9800 scores almost double the 5900 in all tests.
