If you know anything about the optical storage industry, you have undoubtedly heard of Lite-On. But what you may not know is that Lite-On is the number one manufacturer of optical disc devices in the world.

In this, my latest DVD burner review I’ll be taking a look at Lite-On’s latest and greatest DVD±RW drive, the SOHW-1633S. The Lite-On SOHW-1633S features two brow raising abilities: 16x DVD+R burning and Double Layer DVD burning.

I’ll mainly be focusing on DVD burning. I will be testing all of the drive’s DVD write speeds, from 2.4x to 16x. Being used in this review will be Ahead Nero as well as the following software utilities:
