Introduction
IBM are one of the oldest members of the electronics industry with the roots of the company having been around since the 1880s thanks to a man called Herman Hollerith who worked on developing certain tabulating machine technologies. After passing through several hands the business eventually developed into IBM, International Business Machines Corporation.
Over a century after Hollerith submitted his series of patents for the punch card technology, IBM released the first ThinkPad computer in 1992. The ThinkPad spawned a line of products which would become one of IBMs most successful ventures in recent times.
Five years ago back in 2004, IBM sold their PC business onto the Chinese computer maker Lenovo Group. Today we’re going to be taking a look at the Lenovo ThinkPad T500, a laptop which is said to withhold the qualities the industry has come to expect from the ThinkPad series. |
