Introduction

The Radeon 4800 Series has been around for a while now and in recently manufacturers have been enhancing the cooling for these cards. Generally this involves replacing the reference cooler with a quieter, better performing model but some manufacturers go that little bit further and recently we saw our first liquid cooled version of the 4870.

It therefore comes as no surprise to us that there are also versions of the 4870X2 hitting the market with extreme cooling solutions in addition to enhanced speeds. Today we will run two of the most interesting through a selection of real world tests, including gaming at 2560x1600 and Blu-Ray playback to find out how good the 4870 X2 can get.
