These come in all sizes and shapes, but most of the manufacturers focus on making them attractive looking instead of making them spacious or enhancing their thermal performance.Therefore the majority of media centres do not cater well for a high specification system, which means many enthusiast gamers immediately look elsewhere.

GMC have designed the K-2 Ebony, a midi tower case combining the space and expandability of a standard ATX towerwith the feature-set of a high-end HTPC case. The Noblesse K-2 Ebony is a more elegant revision of the K-1, their first HTPC tower case which we reviewed over a year ago.

Packaging and Bundle

The K-2 Ebony is supplied inside a well designed cardboard box which received considerable abuse during shipping to us. The box itself is sturdy and the case is protected by very thick Styrofoam pieces, so despite the rough ride we received our sample unscathed.

As well as the case you will receive a very well organized bundle. All of the necessary assembly and spare parts are well packed inside a plastic container and carefully separated. Besides the necessary screws and drive rails GMC also added a few basic cable organization parts which will help keep to improve the finished build. The manual with the K-2 is very well written and illustrated, but is only supplied in Korean and English. Finally there is also an iMon remote control, a very popular and efficient product with which you can control every function of your PC without having to use a keyboard or mouse.
