Introduction

Cooler Master are a company who manufacture a wide variety of products, but they seem to be focusing on the power supply market a lot this year.

They have released many new units since last summer and we had the chance to test and review several of them. Today we will take a look at a unit from their latest series, the Silent Pro M. This product range consists of high quality, modular units with down to earth wattage outputs and very low noise figures. There are three models ranging from 500W to 700W and they appear as if they are the perfect choice for the mainstream users who are after a high performance but silent power supply.

Packaging and Bundle

The product is supplied very well packed in a subtle looking black box. The box is one of the thickest and sturdiest we have ever seen therefore it should provide excellent protection to the unit during transportation. Everything is well packed inside the box and the unit is wrapped in a simple plastic bag to protect it from moisture and dust.

Cooler Master are one of the few companies who add a few extra items in the packages of their higher specification PSU's. Inside the box you will find a basic version of the manual as well as a CD containing the full version, a company warranty card, black mounting screws, an AC Power cable and modular cables.

The modular cables are not sleeved but they are flat cables and entirely black, which appears to be the trend lately.
