Unless in a noise critical workplace every PC needs a set of speakers and really the only decision to be made is whether the system needs 5.1 or 2.1 sound. Chances are many people will not have the space for a 5.1 system so this really makes the choice easy.
Altec Lansing have been making audio products since the 1920’s and have developed quite a reputation for producing great sounding hardware for the home, car and in recent years PCs. For everyone’s budget they have a product which suits and the same goes for specification. Let’s see what they offer for the 2.1 audio market.

If you’ve been using PCs for any length of time then you’ll more than likely have used a creative soundcard at some point. You’ll also more than likely have been incredibly happy with its performance, I know I’ve never had any major issues with the creative products I’ve purchased. More and more recently external soundcards have become available on the market making a sound card upgrade easy, even for a novice or allowing you to expand your laptop listening experience…its one of these cards that we have in for review today. The Creative Soundblaster Live 24bit USB…and of course if you have a 5.1 surround sound capable card you need speakers worthy of the experience so we have paired it up with a set of Creative T5900 5.1 speakers.

Altec Lansing are well renowned for producing high quality, aesthetically pleasing speaker sets and the Concert Stage 21 package does not let them down in any aspect. They are well designed, not only to look the part, but also to give crisp audio performance.
